Setting up SSL

Step 1:
Launch Visual Administrator & navigate to node->services->key storage.

Step 2:
Go to runtime tab, select service SSL in the views pane of the service.
Select create and fill in the required details:
Country name e.g US
State/province
locality Name e.g. Cardiff,London
Organization name e.g. Lalalaexample private limited
Organization Unit name: e.g. cooporate
common name : E.g. .abc.com.my
Entry name e.g. SSL-ABC
Store certificate.True

Step 3:
Generate CSR data by selecting service_ssl and in the entries pane select you SSL, for example the one above would be SSL-ABC. From there in the CSR section click on Generate CSR request button. then save it to a location you know with the server name.

Step 4:
get your certificate signed! or else for example sake go to service market place and /ssltest quick link. select the digital certificate screen n select the appropriate S-user

Step 5:
Click testi it now in the ssl test server certificate box/ then open up your cert you saved earlier with notepad.copy all that is in side it, and paste it into the input field enter data for public key. Then select J2EE sever from server type area.

Step 6:
Copy the certificate request response, from BEGIN CERTIFICATE to END CERTIFICATE. Paste it into a notepad and save it as .crt .

Step 7:
In key storage look for public-private key in visual admin and select the SSL-ABC u created earlier.

Step 8:
in the CSR area click import CSR Response and import ur .crt . Then when you now click on the SSL-ABC you should see [signedWith] instead of [selfSigned].

Step 9:
In visual administrator go to dispatcherid>HTTP Provider and in the properties pane there will be a ports entry, which tells you your port for your SSL. Then select SSL provider under services. from there look for the runtime pane in the configuration area and select Active sockets and mark the port you determined before which you will use for the SSL connection by clicking on it.

Step 10:
In the server Identiy tab click Add and from the credentials select your SSL-ABC. Then Test it using the web browser e.g https://.:

Step 11:
Click the lock stmbol on your browser and check the details of the certificate for the issuer feild.

Step 12:
go to the service market place /TCS link and download area > root certificate.
click the SAP Server CA Certificate and download it. save it where your certificate is saved. Then in your browser go to tools -> internet options and click on the certificate area, choose the trustsed root certificates authorities section and import your downloaded trusted CA to the browser. Then retest the link, it should be running fine now.
